heres the fax for 6pm tomorrow

Posted Image

gusty south west winds

and heavy rain very close

yuk

that trough behind could cause some pretty wild weather overnight

Is that gusty wind speed enough to lift the flashing on the roof for a 3rd time in a week JP?

Southernman just called, he's broken down.If you're near the Gorleston roundabout layby, give him a wave!Clutch has gone he said, but I wonder if its water related.

Hope he returns OK (sure he will)

Took a stroll to the next village to see my folks and nan who is off home tomorrow (and she fell asleep on the sofa, finally woke up and said she was off to bed, so that was a long chat and all had LOL ), have to say it does feel a tad cooler out there this evening, not raining and stars are out thanks to the finally clear skies.

hi tadpole

i reckon gusty

around 40-50 mph

however when troughs come through it could increase the gusts for a short time

hard call that one i am afraid

Hi Nick F,

Regarding icy roads, Croydon Council have deployed a fleet of gritters to treat A & B routes. I'm sure other boroughs are following suite

Having just driven from tunbridge wells to Brighton, the road was being gritted, Crowborough, Uckfield & Lewes

It appears that newspapers have been doing too much of this Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

And not enough of thisPosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

I shall officially never read a paper again, and go by what ever mother nature throws at me when it in real life happens

Well it has been rain free for a good few hours, however the radar indicates some more rain shortly, and Sunday/Monday has more rain on the cards too, let's hope mother nature is starting to dry out and give us some coldie days.

The thing is we all think we want this, and yes i'd love to see this, but i've heard of the weight of snow like this bringing a roof down so it can be very dangerous.

Think in '78-'79 when I was a lad the drifts that winter up the back of the house looked like that from the inside.

This tabloid are correct with this next storm system named Christina. Exposed areas will be in line with 100 mph + wind gusts

Hi JJ1, I'm not to sure about we want this, It would cause a few problems. As for seeing it, The image i posted will do for us. I was genuinely just showing epic weather events. snow can be very dangerous.

Take Care.

Sorry but lol didn't someone say yesterday that the Thames was fine!

I know they closed the barrier again today but I believe it was due to open again around 17:00 gmt.
