Still nothing here- completely overcast, muggy, yet no rain since that brief shower at 1900 and not heard a single rumble. Everything SE me right yet it just won't kick off round here-again.

If I don't see anything from what's coming up from the South tonight, I might as well give up now.

 

Is there any chance it will weaken or move off in another direction?

 

Somebody put me out of my misery please.

Thunder and lightning very suddenly kicked off here, although some interesting clouds preceding, which set off a warning light in my mind! Anyone able to identify/explain how these clouds are formed?!

Very Jealous of you guys with the storms all we had in Telford was some heavy rain and a couple of rumbles of distant thunder not seen any lightning. If we get nothing storm wise this week i swear there is something very wrong with this region when it comes to storms. Shropshire is very unlucky!

It certainly rattled through pretty sharpish. Nice structure on the back edge of the cell moving Northwest. Lightning was impressive, I counted 4 CG bolts at the same time, although the thunder was quite quiet until the end rumble that shook the windows even though the storm was a reasonable distance away.

Second thunderstorm of the day here :). Some very close lightning about 10 minutes ago, and very loud thunder. Rain was torrential!

Very nice...but only thing that worries me is the Met Office forecast it to weaken as it crosses the English Channel....here's hoping it doesn't!!

Will be hit and miss that he gets here and doesn't go too far west IMO.
