I'd say a few of those might be under threat.

Well that was an interesting day of weather!! Rain and hail along with some really serious gusty winds! Nice to see something of interest showing on the charts for our first cold shot of the season. Before that though we look to be in for another big wind event come Sunday. Interesting times ahead.

Indeed Ronan, a couple of flashes of lightening earlier, first I have seen in ages!! Very gusty at times too, at least it's not grey mild muck

Some very wet looking conditions ahead for us, especially those on the western coasts. Sand bags at the ready in know spots me thinks!

First bit of sleety rain here this morning, just 4.0C at the moment. Will take a drive later to see if the Galtees got a dusting.

Definitely a chill in the air today. Noticed a dusting of snow on the Sperrins earlier. Great to see!

Took a trip though the Glen of Aherlow earlier, and the Galtess got a decent dusting, down to around 6 or 700m I reckon.

Looking good over next weekend as Arctic air pushes South.

I should think there will be widespread snow.

Not sure on any longevity yet.

What has struck me is how unforecast it is.

Apparently there was some heavy snow showers in Pomeroy yesterday, surprised at this as I thought we would be on the wrong side of marginally. Would the cold Atlantic have any impact on this!?

the heavier showers yesterday had a sleety element to them at low levels in clogher valley yest so not surprised they were snowy higher up. great to see the higher hills got their first dusting and plenty to look forward too.
