Radar looks great in north Yorkshire but it looks like it will end up west of Bradford, the stuff in getting has produced nothing.

yes theres an annoying gap where Sheffield is. Radar is a bit patchy but maybe itl pep-up. There wouldnt be a warning for a few light showers. Radar type looks good, all snow inland :D

Nice bit of lamp post watching earlier as a heavy shower produced wet sleety snow flakes lol. Clearing up now and the temperature has fallen sharply. Looking at the radar I think most of the showers over the North sea are dying out.

radar doesnt look too good, its all nearly done. Pitty as the warning sounded like it might be more. We needed big heavy showers with big flakes like last night.

Amazing how the showers have gotten accross the Pennines easily!!! Never works the other way does it lol

I think the cloud is due to break up later, forecast gave -3 for most of Yorkshire outside of city centres. Could be some good minima over the next few nights over the snow covered areas.

The showers were crap and theyve moved through now tonight so id rather the cloud dissapears and we freeze what weve got hard. A bit of freezing fog would be great to add to the wintry scenes!!!

A fairly lengthy sleet/snow shower at Sandhutton but the air temperature stuck around the 1.5C mark, so nothing more than a slight slushy coating on some surfaces.  Travelled back from Tyneside and there was lying snow on the relatively high ground to the north of Northallerton away from the coast, but mainly rain/sleet within a few miles of the North Sea.

A lovely day today - bright blue skies after a low of -2C. The high was 3C but now already 1C. Still some snow knocking around. Wish this could last all winter.

yes today has been beautiful. Dont think temp got above 1c up here in the snow, clear blue sky. Perfect! Sounds like a very cold night tonight too in the forecast, BBC said the coldest night of 2014 probably!

I agree cheese, I wish this could last all winter too. Ill be very sad when it starts to melt Wednesday
