A crazy 14.c outside can't wait for the temperature drop in the next few hours.

Blowing a fair hoolie here now.

Must be over 50mph gusts.

*As I type I hear the wheelie bin going over.

Im just waiting to see the snow falling now. Still too warm though atm, still cooling down. A bit of a downgrade on the METO site though, only a few bits of sleet showing now later in the night. Was showing full snow yesterday for 10pm-2am

I guess its going to be a day of simply radar watching into the night. No forecast can predict what happens on these types of days. You get a shower or you dont.

Just had a little light 100% snow shower (is that what a flurry is?). Didn't expect that at all.

Good to see its falling then, can see lots of showers up north and hopefully the irish sea will get to work for us later and overnight :)

Surprise snow shower this far east.  Not settled, but looked good in the wind.  4.2 C, but dewpoint 0.3C

Just had another snow shower at 7c! Dropped briefly to 2c. Quickly after though. I possibly just have a slow thermometer :)

A good shower just passed Sheffield but its very dissapointing so far. METO does show more overnight, so maybe itl be a case of bands of them coming through. Hopefully with lower temps we might get a covering. Depends how many we get!

Shower activity seems to be picking up now.

Not convinced about settling snow tonight and my elevation though.

Temperature still holding up at 4.2c

Yeah showers are just not happening. Hardly getting below Cumbria. Barry, ive heard Tuesday mentioned a few times, is it a possible frontal event? Hope so. A repeat of Boxing Day would be magic.

The shower activity is slowly pushing further south now, although small fast moving showers at the moment, I expect some of the heavier ones to become aparant through the night with some of us getting a little covering.

No chance of snow below 200m. Even then a wintry mixture between 2-300m.

I'm below that yet I've had loads of little snow showers. Even a brief covering.

I'm at 120m asl
