Snow/hail here. It'll be more hail below 200m. It's not easy to distinguish when it's dark.

No chance of snow below 200m. Even then a wintry mixture between 2-300m.

Already had a couple of snow showers here lol and I'm about 120m. If we get some heavier showers/streamers, a little snow will settle above 50m.

Surprised by that just rain here in the last shower. Dew point means if there is a heavy shower it should turn wintry but light showers just rain due to the 3.4C temp.

Are you sure it's not mixed in with hail? All the showers here have had hail in so for. Even LBA is reporting rain/snow for each shower, the station will be showing the hail as rain.

been some good heavy showers around here last 30 mins or so. Wind is very gusty giving temporary blizzards, great to watch :)

Its not settling at all though, even up here :(

Temperature is ever so slowly edging down now to 2.7c

Dew point must still be quite high though as the ground is still wet.

Last couple of heavier showers have been of sleet and wet snow rather than the light rain we had earlier.

We may get some 'proper' falling snow overnight looking at the radar but I would still be surprised if anything settled below 200-300 metres.

Sadly to be gone tomorrow (most likely) but shows what such a set up can potentially throw up

Mind you, some precipitation on the NAVGEM, although doesn't make much of that small low

Weird day. Snow and hail in the afternoon but rain tonight. Perhaps the more frequent showers have created a cloud shield pushing up the temperature.

Just back from the Dales, not that much snow unfortunately but a few cms of snow at Greenhow Hill (400m). Quite surprised that the settling snowline is around 300m, got caught in a heavy snow shower combined with estimated gusts of 40-50mph which was a first for me and the missus. Saw the sky light up on the way home as a cell further south let out a big bolt of in cloud lightning. To top it off just came home and seen NMM, OMG please hit my house you large snowy blob :)

Sounds like you had a fun night vizzy. It was certainly a wild night, temporary blizzards in the middle of the showers up here too as you described. Like you though im surprised nothing settled :(

Tuesday keeps throwing up options though :D

Wasnt as good as I'd hoped, I think the slight NW'ly element meant showers didnt pack as much punch over the Dales. Was hoping to get stuck in a drift and have to stay up in the snow (what a shame) but the snow tires hardly got a workout. I can't see how people find strong winds interesting.

Not a fan neither, my love is simply for cold and snow and heat and thunderstorms. Anything else can bore off  :aggressive:

I dont mind the wind, any extreme is fun to me. It does get a bit tedious when its almost continuous though like it has been last week and to come this week! Wednesday night could be wild again, v strong winds predicted.

Lets hope we see more snow this week, a few chances at least. I want plenty more snow and cold (which we have only had a brief taste of so far) before i even start to think about Spring :p
