Have given up on Queensbury, reason being the conditions coming off the M606 right near the Centre of Bradford. Look at the size of these flakes. Main city roads were already white over and treacherous so have pulled into a retail park lol...

Allerton Bywater is pretty low down - probably the lowest area in West Yorks. Pretty sure parts of it near the lakes are below sea level - prone to flooding.

It is pretty low just my luck and yes there are a number of lakes around such as fairburn ings etc.. Although my reverse psychology worked as its just started snowing here :-)

I think that's it for anyone north of leeds city centre now, showers becoming isolated.

I wouldn't give up too easily - certainly possible for these showers to converge into larger bands of (insert precipitation type here).

Fairy heavy shower in Barnsley just now, shame it's following on from rain. I'd call it the snowy side of sleet, but not quite full on snow.

Could do but as the dryer colder air from the north is filtering down it's killing the shower activity along with it. Look at those showers over cumbria just die as the wind turns more north westerly.

Well in north leeds I cannot believe my luck. There is no snow falling!! It must be just to the south. So unfair and typical.

Lol yeah you did warn me! Make sure you research the best pubs in Queensbury so I at least know where to head next time the snow comes!

coming down thick and fast, and settling on all surfaces. this is at 90m asl so should bode well for those higher up.

What part of Leeds are you in?
