Morning all.

Missed out on the snow then......

It looks as if the secondary deepened quite rapidly as it crossed Ireland and so moved further North taking some milder air with it.

No chance to get evap cooling as the winds were too strong.

Ah well, better luck next time! Maybe next week?

Was woke up at 5:15 by the wind howling WSW, looked out and the skies were in turmoil with large cumulus scudding across the skies. About 10mms of rain duting the event.

Temperature at 5:15 was 7.6C.  Now sun just appearing and the temperature has dropped to 5.5C

Looks like a hard frost tonight.

Nice crisp weekend (sat) ahead.

MIA.....

Yes down to 2C here with a few showers.A few wet snowflakes currently falling after overnight rain cleared.

I don't expect much though as the colder drier air is now moving in so yes a good frost tonight under clearing skies and light winds.Hopefully a nice crisp sunny day tomorrow.

Very light sleety rain here now. Wind is dropping.

The temp has dropped to 4.0C here and as others have reported the wind has swung to the NNW.

Might we see a snowflake?

Could well be problems with ice later, with all that moisture from last night still around.

Currently 4.3°C with a Dp of 1.9°C

No sleet or snow last night but we had a moderate shower of wet snow just after midday. Just enough to put a layer of slush on the car windscreen.

Send some South chaps.....!

The whole country has been lashed by high winds &/or snow, apart from us in the middle. We've had about 5 gusts of wind and a bit of rain here.

Seems to be a band of showers moving south so perhaps some wintriness if they reach here?, down to 0.3c here now under clear skies.

There is milder uppers moving down from the north, no way will it be snow at low levels, frosty icy start tomorrow, that's about it

Don't mind bland charts, GFS and ECM do look better in FI, not for snow but for dry, ECM potentially cold inversion style, but models tend to downgrade high pressure closer to the time, they seem to under do low pressure

A thin covering of snow here after a couple of light snow showers earlier this evening. There seem to be more showers gathering to the north west on the latest radar.
