So that band of rain turning to snow is now coming north. They had said it would stall in south Lanarkshire. Game on if it is.

Great commute to work. Snaw off and on the whole journey. Embra bypass whiteout from Lothianburn around to Calder with thick snaw building up on the road at the highest point at Dreghorn. Currently snawing heavily and lying here at Riccarton, W. Embra.

I was not expecting anything as heavy or prolonged today at all. Really pelting it down, blowing about and building a really decent looking cover now.

I'm at work at Bathgate and it's really heavy and showing no signs of easing off, so there will be a fair bit more headed for Currie by the looks of it !

Wasn't expecting it at all! Did bring my laptop home last night so I could work from home just in case. Very glad I did now!

Had a brief interlude between bouts of snow. Nice wee covering sticking to all surfaces. More incoming!!'

Actually got caught in a little blizzard on the school walk! Bit fat wet (very cold) snow chunks. Too wet on the ground too settle. PAths were also deceptively slippy!

I can see that there is a covering up on Kinnoull hills etc so maybe Ally had it settle as she is that bit higher?

OTR only a litte dusting on the grass & pavements :(

Omg, my first ever thunder snow!!!

Me too Ross :-) I had to go into town at 10.30 and the main roads were awful. Cars stuck and sliding everywhere and saw a few bumps. Just walked the dog and everything is dripping, turning slushy. Wonder what the rest of the day will bring!

Keep your pecker up. What started earlier here as a nice wintry mix is steadily turning to wet sleet...

Wee lull here now as heaviest ppn is missing us and it's gone a wee bit drip drip drip. What's falling is a mix of big flakes and graupel but not heavy enough to stop some cover disappearing. Fingers crossed for a more direct hit soon enough.
