Well well well.  I've come home to just over 10cm of snow, drifting on the hill road and a raging blizzard.  Incredibly, there's nothing just a couple of km down the hill.

Has anyone else noticed the difference in the forecast from the BBC for tonight and the latest radar sequence?? It seems quite a bit further north and with a bit more oomph.

Couple of cm's of new snaw lying here.

Came home in a blizzard and intentionally took the back road - 3 miles of white. Excellent.

Dry and clear here in NE Fife, it's been pretty much dry all day, currently 0.6c after a high of just 2.7c.

Maybe that front will hit south of Scotland?

When you look at wider radar...

Looks further north than the Euro4 predicted.

Got an inch of lying snow here and still snow showers. Its not epic but its a start. 1km down the hill its brown,or grey or green.

Looking at that (sat/radar)i might be too far north as heaviest constant precip is birmingham south, radar is fragmented for this area, constant snizzle so far.... Doesnt look any better for at least next few hours... Edited by Will Padz

Ah, the curse of snizzle. Can have you lining up the animals two by two from a look at the radar, but it's just nothing more than overblown scotch mist.

Just ice and slush here after a few snow showers. 101North, glad you got something to get excited about after all :D

Cheers :-) Not exactly a major event, a bit slushy but enough to enjoy and build some snowmen with the kids! As the wife pointed out - they were really helping me :-)

Looks like Southern and maybe even Central Scotland could get something from this front. Its definitely further North than forecast. :)

Although we do have a MO warning - yellow - for snow and ice valid till 11 tomorrow. Just watched gavs weather vid and it looks like maybe tomorrow we have more chance of precip coming in.

I noticed this on the BBC weather on the TV, pretty good chance if you ask me but they seem to fade or break up as soon as they reach the Clyde.
