Snow flurries and a few heavy showers with lightening, left 1-2cm and turned the hills bright white.... Looks pretty....

Opened the curtains this morning and was confronted with quite a heavy snow shower. Only lasted a few minutes, but it was pretty to watch.

Nothing balmy about today felt cold all day,but my only problem was the showers were too light, those light soft hail showers wouldn`t amount in a year.

Can but hope DWW?

We have had a bit of sleet,snow, ball snow(Graupel)  and hail here today at 07:00 - 10:00 and 13:00 - 13:30.

Amazing really when the temp has been about 6.5C all day.

Cooling off rapidly now so lets hope the band hits us and is of snow.

Good covering of snow first thing this morning. Pretty impressive fall as well. Just as I setting off for work! The main roads were fine though, apart from the Broadway in Dudley...which for some reason always seems unnecessarily icy when a bit of snow has fallen!

Soon melted as always though.

As far as falling snow days goes, the number must be up there with some of the more classic winters. It's the lying snow days that shows up as poor...obviously to do with the not quite cold enough weather patterns.

Gord ,

Good post. hadn't  thought about it like that.

We have had a lot of days with snow falling, but no depth of cold to stop it melting

I guess we have been lucky to see snow falling with the predominantly west wind.

Yes like gord seen many days of falling snow. Some real beefy snow showers this morning and potential for the same tonite. Massive temp difference at the end of the week spring is here soon.
