Not even got below 0C in this so called cold spell. Yet again synoptics on the face of it OK, but where are the low temperatures? Why has there been no remotely cold 850s anywhere in Europe this winter, as far as I can see?

Agree here,

Overall its been an average winter for temps, but with a distinct lack of cold nights. Supppose its the westerly influence of the wind.

yeah, this winter has finished, back to the usual Atlantic wind and rain next week, typical march weather

Noo I want some high pressure and warmer dryer SW-lys now, thats what`ve got.

No doubt there will be some rain creeping in.

so do I but ECM continues to show average unsettled weather, experts on model thread say ECM is top model, I don't rate it that high, but hey experts know best

I love how they keep saying that Northwest America having record breaking snow, has nothing to do with us getting zilch!

Nearly managed a frost last night before the muck arrived, but so near so far...

Horrible and grey out there now. Yet another rise in pressure brings more cloud. This has happened repeatedly the last 2 years except June/July last summer, every time we get a high building it fills with cloud. No lows or.fronts near us, so why?

Can't remember such a boring period as the last 6 months for a long time. Never really sunny, wet, or cold, not had more than 1cm of snow, constantly breezy but no gales. At least 2013-14 kept us interested with all its storms and flooding.

I don`t want another repeat of 2013-14 the one of the worst winters in living memory, did have that severe storm in feb and some brief cold zonality though.

Today is abit like march 18th 1990 for clear skies sun and a strong breeze from the SW,but much cooler by 10c.

I kept a jacket on all day too chilly, wind all day temps not as high as that one January night not surprising.

Tomorrow looks milder though.

I'm sure the golf clubs have been very busy today, great day for it  :)  went passed quite a few on my rounds yesterday and all looked packed.

Tomorrow and Monday don't look to bad now.... Just patchy light rain, some places will stay dry all together  :hi:
