Just dandruffy bits so far. The first main bit is going to our south. Not convinced the big blob will get here either as there is a dry gap heading straight for the Wolverhampton area directly along the M54 and I fear that may scupper things getting going here this evening.

Yh light snow here also. Not expecting much until the early hours when a band goes through the midlands.

I'm not sure I'm emotionally strong enough to deal with lamp post watching in March.

I'd watch it in June if the potential was there

Yep, dry slotted for now. Bit useless snow falling now anyway, the ground is too warm. Could use a few hours of frosty ground first. This morning's snow was perfectly timed for that.

Let's get the skies cleared for a few hours then see where we go.

However...I also shall not be staying up!

Fingers crossed the weather fronts stay north this weekend to give the first 15c+ day of the year.

Was no point in posting all February so here's hoping March delivers something decent!

We had some very light flakes falling from an almost cloud free sky between 4.30-5pm. So I've seen this twice in a week. It snowed in Calgary last Thursday from a. Blue sky. When I look at it the dew point dropped by 2C so it is wringing the moisture out.

Snow forecast here overnight, but nothing at all. Temp too mild again with dew points above freezing. Yesterday was cold enough 1st thing but we only had 1 decent snow shower which left a covering.

Yet another let down in a winter of let downs. 2 years now since I've seen more than an inch of snow.

Nothing but light rain overnight, despite subfreezing air and snow over Ireland the temp/dewpoint actually went up when the westerly kicked in. Another hard to explain 2014/15 fail.

Not had a frost for a while now....

2 inches of snow everything covered trees etc looks powdery but isn`t looks like it was big flakes as its the wrong type of snow for drifting,as it hasn`t drifted at all.

Temp was 0.4c now 1.2c and mostly clear.

But nice to wake up to nevertheless. :)

Looking to low ground from here looks like what we had yesterday a slight dusting.

Snow in Wales seems to have reached quite low down as there is still some on Rodneys pillar (300m), but not once it got across into Shropshire. Some on the hills to the south, but only above about 400m.

Snow still in the shade out of the sun and strong winds today which has exacerbated the melt fast, despite temps only reaching 4.6c

Frosty now and still pretty windy,a few very light soft hail showers blowing out of dying showers, blue sky showers.

This has been a very much tamer version to march 1995.

But there was deeper cold back then, lows were further south.

Anyway min of 1.7c but no more snow.
