Lovely today with the light winds, probably the last appearance of the sun for at least a week now, worst weekend charts ever for time of year, 5c and stratomuck yuck.

Yuck what a poor outlook, slate grey skies all day today but mild at 12.9c, tomorrow onwards looks raw and grim.

Hopefully all this bad weather now will mean something better for Easter though fingers crossed.

A brightish morning, even a glimmer or two from the sun. Rather downhill this afternooon, and it now looks like we are just heading into the rain proper. Mild at 11.8C.

What a horrible morning! feels freezing cold at 3.1C, with a blustery wind and spitty rain. I suspect if visibility were better, I would be able to see snow on the top of Clee Hill.

A wet night with 17.4 mm recorded up to 0900. No sleet seen here despite a very careful look at a wet windscreen, the temperature just didn't get low enough until the rain had almost stopped.

Whoever invented the term 'washout' obviously had days like this in mind. 20.25mm already measured since midnight, and judging by the radar the rain doesn't seem to be going anywhere fast.

As Bish says still heavy rain here in Soihull...

I,ve got about 25mm s now since midnight and 27mms in total since it started.

So over an inch now.

Temp at 5.5C and rising slowly (Min 3.2C).  DP at 3.8C. Wind NE and picking up.

What a pity it couldn't have been slightly colder to the East. Conditions would have been perfect for a foot of snow.

Oh well.... maybe next year.

I'm not sure how much rain we've had, quite a lot last night, but it has really eased back this morning. Temperature did make it to 3.8C a couple of hours ago, but has since fallen back a couple of notches to 3.6C.

As you say MIA if this was January and the continent was very cold, we'd be knee deep in snow today.

Rain appears to have finally stopped. Approx 21mm in the end, on top of what fell late yesterday evening.

First time we've had this much rain since 7th November last year.

Lovely day here, nearly got up to 14C!

What!

No wonder our rain didn't turn!!! Couldn't you have turned the heating down!! :D  :D  :D

Sky is gradually clearing now after the rain this morning.

Temp reached 7.8C after rain stopped and is slowly dropping.

If the skies clear we are in for a hard frost tonight.

It was a big surprise to see how rubbish the weather was west of the M1! The drop in temperature tonight has been noticeable mind. Not quite the temperature drop I experienced a couple of weeks ago in Calgary - it was + 11C at midday and -8C at 6pm and snowing!

It was mild over there. I think Ontario and Eastern Canada were recording record lows of -40C. I arrived at -20C and the cold was noticeable, but 36 hours later it was 13C, then mild briefly the next day before as mentioned dropped like a stone again. I think the literal translation of 'Chinook' is 'snow eater'. I went upto Bannf and it was a lot milder there than in Calgary. Anyway a nice place to visit and get paid!
