Remarkably, the temperature at Manchester airport hasn't changed by more than a degree for almost 24 hours.

Amazing how cold this milder spell following last weeks cold snap has been.

Certainly feels colder than it did last week and the week before with snow on the ground and currently only 2.1c.

In fact it hasn't climber above 3c since Saturday.

It certainly hasn't been in Diane Oxberry's"at least it will be mild"category.

Ok so nothing is going on...

So how would everyone rate this winter out of 10?

I'm gunna go with 6.

I've had a fair few frosts, snow falling on several days and LOADS of sleet & fog....

I think I have been very lucky this year though compared to others.

Id love another cold spell, but would prefer a little bit of early spring now.

IMBY since Boxing Day probably an 8.

A decent covering of snow which lasted until NYE and a couple of heavy falls since then, one of them of almost 12 inches.

We still have bits of shovelled snow in the garden from the last fall.

Also plenty of frosts this winter.

I can fully understand why others on lower ground would not agree though as altitude seems to have played a big part this winter.

The index is 78 which is fairly OK. I don't know what TETIS in the model thread was on about when he said that Manchester has had 12 air frosts, we have had more than that. Infact it was 26, snow on the ground for 7 days and 13 days of falling sleet and snow.

This time last year, a few of us saw our first proper snowfall for the only time in a period of about 20 months.
