^^

This spell was never going to cut it, might be a good FI coming up though. better PV profile than 12z and that ended fairly well - baby steps.

No severe cold pool to East YET - baby steps like I said though.

Battlegrounds possible.

Carnage on Kirkstone

....plus one fortunate chap of near Joe Simpson proportions.

I'd stick to Orrest Head in future if I was him.

All in all not a flake on the Fylde - cutting wind - ready for Summer TBH

This is as good in the near(ish) term  - Ireland but maybe incursions to the NW?

Altitude as ever is critical as it has been this winter with these NW flows.

Cold and windy morning with some rain showers, 5.2c atm but feeling raw in the wind.

Similar day to yesterday- heavy, squally snow showers, thin covering on the ground. This winter is turning out to be fairly decent at this altitude for falling and lying snow.

GFS is on the vodka this evening and getting the seasons mixed up! Severe gales, -8c uppers, snow and bitter wind chill as we head into the 2nd day of March!
