It's been dry here since 7pm yesterday! I hope the change in the wind direction will bring some showers later but so far very underwhelming.

So far it's been a dry and mainly sunny day here, lots of towering scattered

clouds, the wind is cold but through the window the sun is lovely and warm

Bright sunny evening.... 3c dew -2c windy and freezing in wind.... Made chicken chasseur and beef bourguignon as using up meat in freezer and wasnt much of beef/chicken left.... First shop tomorrow for first time in ten days.... Precip expanding on radar.... Looking at reports from scotland its wet snow turning to rain quite quickly so not holding much hope for much wintry goings on tonight....

Yep the rain will have no problems reaching the region.

Bring on the 16c at weekend lovely

Why? With a strong, dominant high, March will see winter go out with a wimper, rather than a fight. Might as well jump aboard the spring express now!

Well, UK is home to changeable weather I couldn't rule out a odd cold snap or two by mid April. Just have to wait and see. Chances of an high pressure sticking around for a month could be slim if the jet stream decides to go south. 16C is hardly warm for me anyway.

Rather have 25C or higher any day over 16C. Hopefully it be a common theme this coming Summer. :)

is it going to be grey and cloudy though, or will it actually be sunny?

That's the thing I only enjoy early spring warmth if it's actually sunny, otherwise it can stay cold until April please!

I'd be wary of wishing for a warm, dry spring TBH. Over the past 10 years or so there has seemingly been a trend of warm, dry springs being proceeded by insanely wet and coolish summers. Not that I'd complain about that, mind. Summer 2007 was stunning for many reasons.

Being able to see your breath in mid July is just magical. As is the associated bouts of PM sourced convection.

I remember that summer the hills and moors around me had never looked so green and lush!
