Snowy Easter anyone???

Hope not, I want to make the most of those Bank Holidays, slush-fest doesn't do it for me.

Mostly cloudy today with a stiff breeze, so hardly t-shirt weather.  Yet the sun is trying hard to show itself for more than a few mins at a time, and it's noticeably warmer on those occasions.  Hopefully more sun this afternoon.

A very windy night and this morning and we have grey leaden rain threatening skies - not very spring like, preety miserable really.

The projected easterly for later next week hopefully will bring bright sunny skies and enable the daffodils to put in a show..

March is a frustrating month.. spring often struggles to get into strong gear in Cumbria until later in the month and you can never rule out a wintry blast at any stage. Even last March we had a shortlived wintry blast mid month with snow down to low levels - it was very brief mind.

Thanks.

A lovely spring day today with temperature high of 15c

Marked differences between conditions in Cumbria and rest of NW England today. Despite mild uppers and a south westerly we only managed 8.6 degrees under grey leaden skies. A miserable day - sorry had to say it for the third time.. at least it stayed dry.

I have another word for today's weather around here but I'm afraid the swear filter will kick in !!!

Yes" after yesterday, a thoroughly miserable start.

Hopefully it will dry and brighten later though.

Only just starting to peter out here now, quite heavy for a time this morning.  Complete contrast to the spring like day yesterday.

Turned out a lovely bright afternoon even had a coffee on the bench outside just now...feel of sun on your face you just can't beat it.

Now to decide whether to stay in or go out for tea??

But now for a large glass of captain morgan spiced rum with coke Mmmm

Brightened up a bit later than I wanted but not a bad afternoon in the end.

Looks like we may pay the price now though with clear skies and a bit of frost starting to form on the cars.

Currently 1.4c.
