I think tonight, thundery activity will just be confined to the south east corner. I'd be very suprised if we see anything north and west of the Midlands. I've had a look at the forecasts and I've made a map whixh represents which areas have a good chance of seeing something tonight.

I agree Thunderbolt though to be honest looking at the trajectories of current storms, others will probably follow a similar path. Wouldnt be surprised if everything stays over the channel. The usual everything just brushing the UK.

The GFS and NMM are playing around with a risk of some more storm activity tomorrow night for southern coastal counties. Met Office showing something similar too.

Right I'm off to bed.

Good luck one and all for the early hours...my window and curtains open, plus early alarms for any morning action (and for, ahem, last ditch revision!)

That storm in N biscay heading for Lorient looks to have the channel islands name on it and poss IOW.

Estofex forecast valid from 06z puts us nowhere near a lightning area...interesting

Right...now off to bed

...couldn't resist one last look at UKMO precip forecast...going for even more intense looking stuff between 05z and 08z than earlier...defo convective and thundery looking...

Current storms producing lightning highlighted in yellow associated with the massive blob of cloud, however keeping my eyes on the convective clouds shooting up (highlighted in red) as these have more chance of moving over us (if they develop further..)

also ppn growing in intensity moving into SW Midlands, unlikely to become electrified however.

Lol,just about to comment on that, there is curtainly a clear slot there for developments.

the Lorient storm has died of death, that will not please many in the SE,hope to see more developments but it is getting late now :lazy:

less on topic, check out Ryan meyer in Texas on https://tvnweather.com/live/ for some action.
