I bet if it was expected for Monday instead, it would have changed.

Absolutely! and because it's Sunday a monsoon is on it's way and the NW of our region may get hit by a tsunami :shok:

Also I've heard that there's a guarantee that won't change, how unlucky!

Love that promise ILTS ....gave you a like, made me

Anyway guess what!!!  the sun is coming out to play :yahoo:

Yep. No chance what so ever that Sunday will change... unless it was predicted to be sunny. :p Bit silly really as it really should be a day full of wall to wall sunshine considering it's a 'Sun'day. The name might have to be changed to Cloudday instead. :spiteful:

Definitely brightening up now and the temperature is already approaching 17*C. That's the spirit, weather. :good:

Lovely and sunny now, but that wind has come back. 2015, clear skies=wind.

0n the 12Z front is held back, likely change though, and bring rain sooner

What an absolute fool I was moving my 3 days off this week as looked dire before, today's been one of the best days of the summer once the cloud cleared.

My favorite weather, crystal clear blue skies and refreshing around 19c, zero humidity and breezy but not to much.

Surprise surprise Saturday now changed to showers from warm sunshine before here, fully expecting Sunday's front to blast through the high still, we all know high pressure on a Sunday isn't possible in 2015

XCweather shows only light winds across the country. You cannot expect virtually no wind at all unless under the center of a large high pressure. XCweather shows winds arent really any higher than Spain and France!

Why likely change? when UKMO/GFS is showing HP slap bang over the top of the UK at 14:00 Sunday.... But even that is not guaranteed :hi:

A bit of a cool morning here as well with the temperature around 11*C. Not quite the clear blue skies of yesterday afternoon, but still pretty reasonable with patches of the blue stuff mixed with some pieces of Altocumulus-like cloud.

The Met Office is going for generally dry and bright weather for Sunday. Perhaps this could be the one Sunday where Summer doesn't go for a nap. I bet it'll change. :p

It has clouded over, here in Coventry. The local weather forecasts appear to be divided in opinion on whether we are to have a noisy night into Friday.

Hope all well.

The latest Estofex forecast looks pretty promising for much of our region  :)

Sunday looking a shocker on FAX and GFS, wonder why sunday is always wet in NW midlands, and dry elsewhere

Knew it would happen, in fact I should of put a bet on it, all week charts have shown ridge of high pressure with the front scraping Northern Ireland, now of course the last minute curse comes in to ensure a direct hit.

Poorest year for weekend's I have known ever in fact, next weekend already looking October esque.

Generally grey today after a clear chilly night (6.5c low), lovely and warm out there at 21.5c but been less than 5 minutes of sun since 10am and hurricane Shropshire is back in action.

ILTS, Agreed the 12z GFS is not good if you like it settled but that's only one run

let me remind you that I've lost count now how many previous runs was showing absolutely no rain whatsoever

and there you go one run and we are back to 'Sunday is looking a shocker'

and the Surface Pressure Charts for Sunday are fine and settled maybe later in the day western parts of the UK may see rain.

It must be you are obsessed in seeing rain on a Sunday that's all i can put it down to or your observation skills are just crap :)

Lets not slag each other please, just be friendly and enjoy the weather...Thankyou! :)

AGREED AW :)

  • April 2024 - Was it that cold overall? A look at the statistics

General perception from many is that April was a cold month, but statistics would suggest otherwise, with the average temperature for the whole month coming in just above the 30 year average for the UK as a whole.
