iv'e done some research, i don't think the sea temperature plays a part because since 1990's the sea temperature has increased not decreased, maybe other things are why these things die off?

the seas are below atm ? , especially western side ,

might just be perfect timing for the S-East - might I add

incoming developed storms

afternoon to develop decent temps

eroding CIN at time the storms are arriving

I can definately see vertical ascent of the Cu here now

:)

Typical everything has been heading in a west/north west direction all day and as soon as the storms look to be heading my way they get a more northerly direction, you couldn't make this up, I just hope winds will push it more west as they go more north... just hoping that the sun we had today accounts for something hopefully things start firing west of those storms.

Frankly, according to model output, you are just too far North, unless you get very lucky, and that will depend on a combination of the low corridor moving north at approximately the same rate as the frontal systems due in soon.

In any case, likely to be much later in the evening

Well I'm amazed - just walked down to the shop to the sound of loud, distant thunder. Imposing sky and again the humidity has gone through the roof. Orage imminent!

It's starting to feel right here. I know that's totally unscientific but it does feel like it's getting ready to burst, maybe in an hour or two?

Ouch! Sounds painful! :vava: I trust your feelings, thunder is a sure thing for London now. :good:

Not surprised storms did not develop, the majority of yesterdays French storms were surface based.

It is not looking good for anything in England at the moment. Could all change but it looks very unlikely. A few rumbles in Kent and that's about it

Conditions are only favourable from about now. What do you base this hypothesis on?

I predict this track for the storm coming into Kent, what do others think?

If it survives it could form into a monster or then again just turn out to be a damp squib

Here I am at stansted now. Very muggy here, more so than further north previously!

Can't wait to see what gets delivered here. Hoping for some thunder soon.
