^^ Daniel & Captain - whilst at the moment the ducks might not be quite lining up in a row for the UK, that's a great chart. This winter's fledgling PV split and all over the place, with a GH! It's encouraging for this time of year and hopefully somethings brewing. Stick to your guns Dan!

Meanwhile, like tinybill I've got to go Christmas shopping with Mrs Blessed today. Looking wet, windy and unseasonably mild. 15.2C here, already!

Just back from run.

Can't believe how warm it feels. It could be an early summers morning out there!

As per usual it's pouring with rain again this morning.

This is the part of autumn/winter that drives people with SAD nuts.

Its enough to make sane people go nuts.

Days upon days with no sun.

Will those people who wanted a change stand up to be fired.

At least with the high we had sun and fog.

Proper autumn weather out there now, the rain is at an angle, leaves are swirling in the gusty wind and the wind chimes in the garden are clanging like crazy church wedding bells.

Atrociously mild here it is 17c and in my house it is ridiculously muggy due the wind and rain which you would think would provide some relief at the time of year - we've had such maxima in May & even June it's crazy stuff.

Oh my god. No word of a lie.

The sun just appeared for 30 seconds.

What a difference a bright light does to the atmosphere.

Still raining though.. Lol

Brief burst of sun and some clear sky after a hideous first 2/3 of the day.  Latest on MOD thread is a return to last week's weather in our part of the world, but worrying amounts of rain for the north-west.

Well apart from a few short heavy showers it's been dry here today, even some patches in the cloud this morning.

Morning All. It's quite a pleasant start here with a few glimpses of the sun through the cloud. Not as mild as recent mornings at 10.6C. Looks like we'll stay dry until the next front pushes through this evening. Lovely satellite image of Europe showing very starkly the back edge of the front currently out to the west of Ireland with showers streaming down the Atlantic behind it. Over to the east our Region is just visible through the cloud.

Wow.. It's not raining. At least that's something!

Still very damp out there and the fields and woods completely bogged on the dog walk this morning.

More rain tonight and next week by the looks of things, hoping for a cold high to take hold in December to dry things out followed by snow for Christmas.. One can dream :-)

Well Scotland was thoroughly wet this weekend, even worse than down here. Though there were still patches of rain around once I arrived back in the Fens.

Lovely sunrise this morning with the low sun breaking through a couple of times to give the thin, high cloud a pink tinge. It's been the first night for some time that has seen the temperature down to a single digit at 9.6C.

Well my walk to work was under clear skies but alas the cloud arrived just as the sun came up. It has been dull ever since.
