Was walking to the shop and a bolt came down a few streets away, scared the absolute **** out of me

Chucking it down with rain and the rumbles of thunder in this area hasn't stopped ... not really loud but you can here it clearly

I got a surprise just moment ago but thankfully I was indoors It was forked CG Lightning quite a sight.

Drinking at this time  Did you have a metal pole attached to your head?  Light rain here, one rumble of quiet thunder so far.

I was going to pop down the town this afternoon but the rain isn't letting up

It's for later this afternoon and evening, not now. A second batch of torrential downpours is likely for the SE, especially Kent and E Sussex.

The Germans are invading.

It did sound like a bomb went off a short while ago.

Flipping eck ... real dark, thunder getting louder and very heavy rain... what a day.

uh oh its starting again, just had a massive clap like a factory blew up and now the rain has gone very intense

I wasn't really bothered about the thunder noise, I was just casually walking down the street in the rain and listening to distant rumbles, then right in vier a bolt came down out of nowhere, I nearly ended up on my 'rear' lol

Yes !! No lightning, few distant rumbles of thunder and I wouldn't even say the rain is exceptionally heavy !

well I'm really annoyed because my Ipad automatically went to photo mode and not video mode so when I THOUGHT I was recording I wasn't and missed the biggest clap of thunder that was directly above my house

yeah but it had a bit of drama too, there was rain,wind, loud thunder and people screaming because of the thunder so it was like a small scene from a disaster movie
