Morning all (just), yesterday was a gloomy dull chilly day and today doesnt seem like it'll be any better according to the forecast/charts.

Looks like we swing to a more Western approach as we head towards next weekend so the feel like temps should improve although I still think the end of the month will put us back into this current pattern.

The only real positives at the moment is no damaging winds and also the lack of fog as the roads are bad enough lately!

The seasons are certainly shifting 100%. Spring is later (usually) summer is later (proved this year) winter is later (cold don't really kick in till Feb March and gone)

It's all swings and roundabouts 2009/10 would of been classed as "Winter arrives early "

The seasons haven't really shifted to be honest, it is just the case that we can get hot weather in both Spring and Autumn, likewise we can get cold and snowy conditions in those seasons too. Apart from this year, May has delivered a summer-like spell on a consistent basis, likewise the second half of November 2010 was more brutal than most winters I have seen.

We had some more rain overnight here.

Light rain overnight and still on and off this morning. The wind has got up too. Very grey and gloomy so needed most of the house lights on. 10.6C.

Breakfast of local butcher's fresh pork sausages with a couple of fried eggs from a friend's chickens has cheered me up though! Set for the day now! :)

Been raining all morning here, I'm thinking now it seems set in it might stay that way till the easterly is gone.

Its a particularly dull drizzly depressing sort of day.

Also one that I doubt would give snow in the winter however cold.

Overcast and drizzly here, so utterly tedious.

Very different from 28 years ago today; the most memorable weather day I've experienced, by a street. On balance, I'd take the tedious now, but the weather memories created were powerful, especially for a teenager.

Indeed November cold winter over by New Year. Perhaps it's my age but I always hoped for a mild November as a prelude to a cold winter. Cold November mild winter. There that is a sweeping generalisation!  :sorry:

Cold and overcast here at the moment. No drizzle like some other places, though.

A dire day, endless grey skies and a strong wind, no rain though.

I actually welcome the cloud, the low sun you get now, mist and fogged up wind screens make for a hellish journey to school and it keeps it a tad warmer too. Don't think i had much in the way of drizzle either.

A nice start to October with a sunny high, followed by a cloudy, drizzly, cool, breezy high, day after day after day after day after day after day after day after day, continuing until, nobody knows!
