I'll remind you of that when you start the incessant moaning of not having any storms in the future  :p

Oh you won't hear me cribbing anytime soon mate, well worth waiting all summer for that storm was.

Just arrived back from my storm chase into Yorkshire. Must've witnessed about 5 or more different cells this afternoon, 3 passing me over Burton Salmon and ferrybridge, and another 3 driving back down the A1.

What a decision I made aswell, as we have had absolutely diddly squat back here. I really would've been kicking myself big time!

This will go down as one of my most successful and most dramatic chases in UK history!

Credit to all on here for advice and especially to weather experts I.e two Nicks!

Here's a few more from today

What a day! Best in years, for once we were in prime location here. Not good on the roads however...

Still haven't had a good thunderstorm since September 2014 here, very depressing. Still waiting for lightning but looks like general rain. Ah well, we all knew tonight would be a damp squib.

I thought that storm that tracked due north just east of Exeter earlier today might have been a direct hit for you?

LOL. It wasn't that good apparently and I was in Exmouth anyway so have no proof.

A bit of lightning in the distance from that Southampton storm. Meh.

I wouldn't even class it as a storm. Had it pass to our west earlier, had 5 flashes and that was it.

However, winds increasing here now

Have to say that for the Warrington/north Cheshire area the storms were decent, with maybe three active thundery cells merged together for an MCS feel. Not as good as those earlier in the summer though.

Wowser

I should've embedded it rather than linked FTW lol

The wind doesnt seem to change direction as it passes

Certainly great video!

Lightening doesn't seem to be liking us down in Devon this year, or to a degree the southwest, look at Midlands and northern England lighting up like a Belisha beacon!
