I know in Medway they have been out since Midday and then all Primary routes from 7pm and then again 4am.

Also slight contradiction as light flurries possibly over Western areas of the region according to meto however the council forecast says clearer to the West and possible snow over the Higher ground of Eastern Kent.....

I think that tells us what we need to know.....Clue 1. Lamp post

BBC graphics when shown are usually 6 hours out of date sometimes more... Don't really pay much attention to them, best to come on here and see what the more experienced say

Maybe in a reasonably static weather situation they'll run with a 6 hour old chart, but in a fast changing situation someone in the WeatherQuest offices (they do the Look East stuff) would have been working on those graphics late morning.

Anyway, here's the comparison for fun. Not a bad effort?

Just need a rogue clump of PPN to come a bit more inland later today. About 20 years ago on Boxing day night was all clear on NWly, very cold, thought no chance for any PPN. Then a hefty snow shower came from nowhere and produced 2/3 inches of snow in an hour or so, big flakes, never seen anything like it. Snowed over a small area from Greenwich to Dartford, we were in the honey pot here.

So expect the unexpected.

Properly snowing here now, but ground too wet and too warm (so far) to settle. Nice to look at though.

I sense I may be too far west, dark clouds to the east, clear skies on show to the west. Just dry and cloudy here now.

Places like Kings Lynn could be in the sweet spot here !!

It's chucking it down with snow in Lynn at the moment but not settling, dew points must be a touch high.
