1.5C, DP -5.9C! Couple of showers off the coast tonight would do nicely.

Dizzy heights of 2.1 today though shady areas stayed below zero. Lovely walk to work on frozen mud. Not sure I want it much colder than last night (-8.2C) especially as my bedroom heater is broken. Absolutely gorgeous day though. Give me this over 12C wind and rain

Well, there's a first in a long time.

The back garden still has frost and ice from this morning, as it appears temps struggled to get up above 2C.

Average temperature since 6am until now (5pm) 0.1C

Frost also remaining here in spots that the sun hasn't reached, far from an ice day however with temperature reaching a max of around 3C here today. Now this is more like winter...! :cold:

Shame it'll only be for all of 2 days.

EDIT: Just realised I surpassed 1000 posts with my one last night! Happy 1001 then :D

It's going to be interesting to see how low the temps are going to get in our area tonight away from the coast

I loved it too, there is something magical about frost remaining all day, probably because it is so rare.

Perhaps by Thursday morning we might be getting 3 frosts on top of each other in the shade which would then look great before the slowly milder air creeps in, added to which some places could get freezing fog which although dangerous would create a rime winter wonderland.

Yes coldest day in a long time!

Holding steady at -2.5c for last hour so i expect as sun starts to dip we shall start to fall again soon. :cold-emoji::cold:

Yep, if we can't have snow then I'm more than happy with frosty nights and sunshine by day. And of course, those rare ICE days like today.

With these cold temps it's such a waste that there's no attempted attack from atlantic fronts that slide thru our region.

Think of the snow that would produce. Sad times.

Just had a text come through, a request from a client.....can I please jet wash the terrace tomorrow as it's very slippery. I'm betting it will be a whole lot slippier after I've finished - one ice rink coming up :D

I had a look at the radar earlier hoping there was some showers that weren't forecast. But typically when it's cold enough, absolutely nothing.

Their wish is my command. Looking forward to a good old slide around when I've finished.

Just watching BBC forecast, lots of freezing fog incoming. Fingers crossed we end up with a thick hoare frost, second to snow it's my favourite, everything looks so pretty with a thick layer of frost.

Hope so. Be lovely to see all the trees with an icy coating. I quite liked tramping across frozen mud to work today!Better than risking untreated pavements

Tonight and into tomorrow morning, chance of it lingering all day - BBC national, not Fergie's local forecast.
