Very windy here and heavy rain. No sign of a let up. A lazy day indoors as not feeling great. When is Spring starting?!

Major worries here. We're under an amber alert for rain. Just been out and about the water running off the land is unprecedented. Any gully valley dip in the road is suspectible to flood. I would say the tamar and Plym catchments need to be looked at.

Surprisingly, it's nowhere near as windy as I expected it to be down here. The strongest winds that have been forecast for over a year, and a Southerly, yet i'm not recording much above 25mph at times- just a typical windy day at the moment, very strange!

That's another fence panel bitten the dust. No idea what the strength of the gusts are here but I've got huge Buxus balls in large pots on the patio, they stand about three foot tall and weigh an absolute ton (takes two to move them) - they're rocking; a couple of gusts have tipped them not quite to falling over point but expect them to go over if it keeps up.

Had a lot of rain overnight/earlier this morning. Now just cloudy and windy with spits and spots. All in all, a completely fowl day that would fit more in November/December. Oh wait... it did...

The wind is definitely not as strong as the forecasts suggested. Forecast shows Bournemouth  airport to be getting in excess of 50mph. The highest gust was at 9:50am - 43mph.  11:50am - 40mph. 12:20pm - 31mph. 12:50pm - 38mph

It was rougher than this last week.

I think N-W's frontpage weather headline for Yatton is a bit drunk - apparently it's 0C with sleet lol.

Next weekend looks so close to a half-decent cold spell on the models it's just so likely to evaporate as we get closer.

Yeah, no sign of the let up next week from what I've heard, just expect more of the same. Thoroughly depressing.  This surely has something to do with el-Nino, right?

Certainly not the wind levels that were predicted.
Its 25 - 30mph winds here, not had a gust above 30 for a good few hours.
Notice the winds on the forecasts are showing a lot lower than they were this morning for the next few days.
Dry here and the sun has broken through the cloud now and again, almost some blue sky amongst the light grey cloud.

Amazing squall line just gone through. Suspect that put away doubt there will be some major flooding round these parts

We have the wind inland here! Little rain to speak of as yet.

Sustained winds in low 30s gusting into low 50s for couple of hours now.

Not particularly warm either 9.5C but feeling much colder in the wind

Portreath, Cornwall is under a Severe Flood Warning.

Crazy rain here on Dartmoor. Minor river at Magpie Bridge has burst it's banks and rivers surrounding Tavistock are the highest I've ever seen them and still plenty coming off the hills.

Been horrible here today, rain eased off a bit for what seems like the first time today... 25-30mm so far today by the looks of stations around me!

@Mapantz do you have to have a netamo station to view that data or is it available freely?

Around 40mm of rain here so far today so not as much as Princetown but very wet! I wonder what the total will end up being?

Rather amusing that we've had stronger wind gusts today from this unnamed storm than the last two named ones!

Quite the opposite here. I've seen stronger winds when no warning has been issued. 43mph is the max at Bournemouth airport.
