Snowing heavier now but still not much of an attempt for mid January, 300m above sea level and a location so far north that it should have permafrost and polar bears.

to rub even more of that salt we don't need on the roads into the wound, my daughter is at her boyfriends in Halifax and said its snowing very hard and is quite deep.

Not done too badly here in blackburn..about 2 inches...still snowing but  very light now....more than i expected really.....lets hope monday can deliver for everyone.

Funnily enough we didn't get any then either, big rain shadow effect from the southern fells meaning no ppn for me.

yikes i thought the entire SW coastal strip got buried - Bootle etc did

i thought that would be the best scenario for snow for your area

Heavy snizzle/drizzle now. Bring on the next solar minimum. Went through a similar relatively snow-less patch from 2002-2008 too apart from a couple of freak events.
