weather boring and grey, no life here, i want either spring to jump into action or severe frosts and snow, not the boring stuff :D

Looks like a taste of spring mid month and if we are lucky, the temperatures might nearly be as warm as the temps we had in December.:cc_confused:

Anywho GFS 12z

maybe something wintry for latter part of Sunday. I do not have much hope being quite deflated by all this snow shenanigans.

Sunshine and wintry showers this afternoon. Not too bad and much sunnier than what was predicted.

850's are a bit colder tomorrow so if anything develops in the afternoon then there should be a better chance of snow. Will still be marginal though

Showers continuing to roll in off the North Sea..

Edit: On a separate note E4 at T+36 shows scattered snow showers best chance out this "cold spell".

Nice to see some snow falling today even if it was for only 5 mins and I got to show my kids.?. Apparently after I left for work she asked my wife if she could go out and play in the snow bless. It's been a really harsh winter with so many wrong side of marginal events . Our time will come eventually .

had quite a few showers today, wasn't expecting the snow and hail. had a very excited little girl watching the hail bounce off her wendy house. very strange grey/yellow sky as the cloud passed over. Just like a April day.:hi:

Reasonable chance of Norfolk and Suffolk seeing some snow early tomorrow morning.

Even Mr Mild himself Peter Gibbs mentioned it just now on the Beeb forecast before smiling like a Cheshire Cat that mild weather along with rain would be back for mid week - weirdo!

Wintry showers during Sunday evening and night will allow ice to form readily on untreated surfaces and where showers wash off earlier road treatment. Where showers are most frequent, localised accumulations of between 1 and 3 cm could occur. Please be aware of the potential for difficult driving conditions and slippery surfaces.

Wintry showers will continue to run in off the North Sea through Sunday evening and night. Many of these showers will fall as snow, though in areas on and very near the coast showers are more likely to fall as a mixture of sleet, snow and hail. Where showers are most frequent localised accumulations of between 1 and 3 cm could occur, although over the North Yorkshire Moors accumulations are likely to be locally higher and closer to 5 cm. Surfaces which are either untreated or see showers washing off any earlier treatment will readily become icy in these showers.

Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk

Heavy snow shower here, started as sleet. Not laying.

Slight  dusting on cars and grass, lasted all of around 2-3minutes :p

Radar watching for this evening....

There may be some heavy snow showers knocking about particularly north of London.

There is some potential there, home grown showers to our west/north west with 850s cold enough to support snow to low levels moving down from the north, that should mean the showers could turn increasingly to snow as the afternoon progresses. We will wait and see how things pan out.
