Last thing I expected to see today is ac cas. Don't think it's going to do anything however. Was expecting cumulus clouds a bit later though.

morning :)

welcome to my world, i see that so many times where i live, even happened yesterday.

Morning Dami. Location, location, location!! :) But yes, you only have to look at a typical 'Actual Rainfall' chart from the Met Off to see that we're in a drier part of the UK. But the boundaries between amounts aren't a uniform line and show there's 'fingers' of wetter/drier areas poking out. Of course, storms have a got a mind of their own, but I'm sure local topography plays a role, e.g. being on the lee side of a range of hills. Hadleigh is in a river valley and all the locals say that 'weather' goes around us. It often seems to!

Back to today and it's a beautiful start here. Misty to start and now a blue sky with an odd wisp of cirrus. And our Region looking good for another shot at seeing a heavy thundery shower today. Good luck this time!

great post blessed :)

But it's so right about weather 'going round me' here too.

or even worst break up before it even gets here.

Felt cooler today and not as humid so not expecting much here.

Seems to be transitioning now, as it warms up clouds getting more fluffy in nature. Ac cas gone, replaced by little fluff balls lol.

Yup!:shok: Late April cold spell with snow possible even down south. We had a couple of brief northerlies during the winter and the temperature here still got up to 8c, no chance of snow down here now.

18C here, lovely. Am in a tshirt outside for the first time this year and it's very nice! (for me, anyway. Onlookers might disagree)

Fluff balls have turn to clear blue sky. Can see cumulus to the north though.

Have you ever had a storm develop from fluff balls?

The sea-breeze has just kicked-in - 180o to the real wind. A bit of added convergence mehopes?

An absolutely cracking day here, lots of sunshine with very light winds, just a little fair weather cloud which has bubbled up since lunchtime.

A couple of small storms have recently kicked off. One just SW of Norwich and an earlier one just N of Peterborough.

On the edge of a couple of showers here, convection seems to get going then relaxes for a while before cloud tops shoot up again.
Can see the top of the shower in north east Kent from here, this one just keeps building upwards and outwards - looks great from here!

And just after I post this that shower has started producing strikes :)
