Nothing here today, apart from a succession of spectacular-looking Cbs that all delivered zilch. Very frustrating!

Yes same here, some beautiful clouds again with clear hail/sleet/rain shafts but nothing actually fell in my locality. Wish it would warm up!

It will warm up come July:good: Someone in NW London is having a thunderstorm, I can see the lightning on the horizon.

Yep sleety rain with huge blobs of wet snow mixed in . Have really enjoyed the weather over the last couple of days . Look forward to some heat after this episode though .

Does look a little sleety maybe my eyes are deceiving me.

Looking at the Netweather radar, there's a real old mixture falling from the sky tonight. I presume the purple, described as Freezing Rain, is actually soft hail?

Just seen a flash of blue-white lightning. Too far away to hear any thunder, though!

I think the record's stuck....  it's another nice but cold start after an overnight min of 0.9C......

But.... the last couple of GFS runs are encouraging. There's hints that we just may swop the -5C hPa 850 isotherm with a +10C isotherm around the 10th/11th May!!! Hope it's onto something! (Mind you, doesn't mean it'll be dry, but at least it will be warm rain!).

Today GFS 850 Thur28April.png 11th May??  :yahoo:GFS 850 11May.png

I dont know why I put myself through the torture of turning on Good Morning Britain on ITV in the mornings.

I find weather girl Laura Tobin extremely annoying, She needs to win an award for dramatic weather reports. I've never known a TV forecast to make Snowfall on mountains of Scotland sound like an Apocalypse. Beginning of forecast " Heavy snow - snow across the country - Frost everywhere - 10/20cm of snow!!

Reality = Settling snow reserved for highest Northern Hills and mountains of Scotland - Rest of country, sleet down to lower levels in north and the south can expect a drier day with temps up to 13c................ The definition of media hype = Laura Tobin

Nice sunny start, got cumulos building already, looks like a repeat of Tuesday by the sky here. Although going bybthe forecast of mostly dry, may be it's more capped.

Some fair weather cloud now, nothing showery building at the moment with some decent sunny spells. That bloody wind is back though! Freezing when the sun goes in and blowing all my potting soil and pots everywhere. Grrrrr!

A nice morning after a frosty start. The afternoon was a little on the rubbish side with lots of cloud and some drizzle.

That squall line gave us some ice on the windscreens etc, just pepped up. That might mean a bit of wet snow for Luton airport??
