So, as quickly as it came, its now gone. Still clouded over and dark to my northwest but stopped raining here and lighter now.

Meanwhile my Mum just texted me and can confirm we have a storm over my house again for the second day in a row while I've been at work. Typical!

Yes, quite frequent rumbles here in South Ockendon. Got my storm goosebumps now.

Looking pretty stormy over towards Dumfries. Its got that creamy apricot look. Very humid and warm again here.

Suns out here in MK. Line of convection sitting directly west of here and hardly moving. Seems to be back building all the while with wind convergence and moving away. Some really impressive cloud structures.

Looks mighty fine way off to the east, big clouds. Here it's still small fair weather Cu and further west looks even clearer!

850 winds usually give an idea on direction, but with light air and convergence, there isn't much movement.

Difficult to make out but I can just see the tops of some towering cumulus above the crud. Also see some nice bubbling cumulus towers going up in the background in the second pic. Leaving for home in about 15 minutes so storms headed to my house from Essex - please wait for me!!!

Short but sweet thundery cell now blown itself out towards Hayfield but looks to be building on it's western side again though. Textbook pulse-storm day today.

Clouds clearing a bit to my north in the foreground and I can see some large cauliflowers to my north (and not the home grown kind!).

Just had/having a thunderstorm in C London at the moment, rain absolutely biblical with sporadic thunder and lightning.

Just as I typed, exceptionally close CG but very quiet thunder! Wonder if it hit the Shard or another skyscraper.

Where abouts are you mate? I'm in tower hamlets and although we had a deluge earlier its dry at the moment with cb to my north.

Ah right, you're just west of me. I just looked out to the west and it looks black as hell over there. Heard a few rumbles and just saw a flash of fork lightning behind Canary Wharf. Tried to capture it on my phone but it was too quick for me!

Enjoy it mate, it looks pretty active on lightning maps.
