Four loud booms & torrential rain..... Very very heavy huge tropical rain drops.....

Looks to be merging with the cell over the Goyt aswell, 2 rumbles from that but nothing showing on the lightning maps yet.

Can see the heavy showers on the outskirts of north London / M25 and they appear to be headed my way but not electrified yet though. Much better visuals on these cells today without the mid-level crud to obscure them!

Quite similar to here, though not quite as advanced, some of the clouds do look like going boom very soon here though!

Getting increasingly darker and unstable looking to my north east. Looks darker in real life than the picture suggests...

After yesterdays change in direction where are todays storms due to head?

From what I can see I think the wind is blowing from the north east today (at least in my neck of the woods) so I'd expect any storms to travel south-westwards.

I cant work out my chances today, the sky is pretty much some small Cu and a gentle breeze, pretty humid, but I think the action will be east of here now.

I think I just heard a deep rumble from a little cell that's gone up just north of me I'm Worcester. I'm off out to investigate!

15-20 minutes of torrential rain, roads are rivers...still hammering it down... Strike hit snake pass.... 10-12 lightening strikes...very close as they were instant loud rolling shot gun booms.... Luckily had lunch in garden at 120pm before this hit....

Fresh strikes in rainham just to my west on lightningmaps. Netweather radar showing two cells heading straight for me. Come on!

Another interesting point is that the clouds here are moving very slowly south to north.

Its gone torrential here in tower hamlets but no thunder or lightning yet. Getting lighter now as well as the bulk of the cell has passed over but still chuckig it down at the moment. Don't think this one's going to drop the goods but it looks like there's an active cell just north of chelmsford and tracking this way so we might get that in a while with some luck!
