The isolated shower over Leigh looks pretty nasty now, could be some sustained downpours there.

Apologies for the awful editing but I have highlighted where there is a clear convergence zone just waiting for something to fire along it!

Was coming over the pennines and could see the Manchester clouds bubbling away.

Now sat st the sweating Etihad waiting for Coldplay hoping the next batch doesn't drop on us later.

I know storms aren't due here until later if they happen but when you can't see any evidence you start to think we'll I don't blame any forecast but with a view in all directions and nothing to suggest thundery weather I got to think Bust but like I've said I've had a good year so far so doesn't bother me wheather anything happens or not just would be nice to end the week off with a storm but can't see anything happening here.

Can clearly see the development away to the NE of me, of the heavy shower going on Greater Manchester area. Very warm and humid here.

After the initial cloud layer burnt off it's a beautiful mid 20s day here. Some cumulus building up but not anything significant that I can see.mid

More cumulus bubbling up here to my South, and a brief second of the sun being blocked out! :D

Cloud bubbling up over London as well, not so sure it will amount to anything.

Drove through that heavy downpour near to Leigh. Lots of big convective raindrops but that's it, not a single spark. My final hope is for these showers to erupt into thunderstorms as they move west towards the coast.

As you can imagine I hope you're right. Lots of energy to tap into.
