Anyone able to help? Posts are flying in so can understand it might of got missed

Hmm, the forecast for the SE was late afternoon to early evening and we've already had multiple storms develop so you never know. The signs are pointing to it being a good area of convection so far today but whether that remains into this evening we will have to see. I'm hoping for another storm when I get home (I prefer watching them at home for some reason).

I still have infrequent lightning and thunder here in brixton so even if that's the only storm I see today I'm happy with that for a while. :-)

Sun just starting to break through here, but I think it might be too late now for any storms here. :cray:

met office just updatest weather for W Midlands shows showers clearing this evening seems to go against their own warnings

West Midlands

Headline:

Showers easing tonight, then sunshine and showers tomorrow.

This Evening and Tonight:

Showers easing and gradually clearing away this evening leaving a dry night for many. Some clearer spells developing overnight and perhaps some mist developing in prone spots. Minimum Temperature 13°C.

Anyone else looking over at those cells west of Brussels?! They are crazy, 150-200 strikes a minute from them at the moment..

oh fine at the moment the lack of any storms is helping and I hope it just stays that way even if it don't I doubt it would be on the scale of what London has been and is seeing well hopefully anyway

Some beautiful dark cloud pictures there in this thread.

Heading home now. Wonder if I'll see anything this evening? Been a good day for storms so far (the one in brixton is still rumbling every now and then).

Some gorgeous, fat, cauliflower convection bubbling up North and East of here at a rapid pace. No defined Cb shape yet, but can see it visibly rising.

Yes, some impressive towers. Doubt we'll be getting anything here though - truly a terrible convective year for us so far.

Quite a bit of flash flooding in south London, with many roads impassable. the link below shows the notorious underpass in Wallington that will flood in exceptional rain.

But you've still got that sense of dread in the pit of your stomach at the thought of one coming near you. I know what that's like from when they used to freak me out.

Agreed - that tower looks like a Harrogate job.

Judging by the way the Burnley cell just sat there for a couple of hours, I'd suggest that unless something develops on top of your head, you may get a distant light show at best.

It seems whatever storms the uk can produce on a given day look terrible compared to what the rest of Europe can produce it's frustrating I need some of those storms
