Now if only this was snow moving from east to west. Would never have this much precipitation crossing the country if it were snow!

Hope the rain is short lived. I wasn't expecting it to rain tbh. Just assumed more of the murk was on offer as of late.. I did manage to mow the lawn earlier though! Felt like a right idiot doing it but at least it looks tidy.

My thoughts exactly, really it's more depressing than the frequent fog/low cloud of recent times! A front heading in and developing from the East in mid December and it's 6.0c!

We were killing time waiting for some interesting weather to arrive

its set in a different world, a battle of who has the throne.. dragons and other strange creatures and magic thrown in.. very violent at times.. the best program on tv and the most widely watched program in the world apparently. Watch it!!

Sounds like the MOD thread when there's a whiff of snow about...

Another dull and damp day but with a more seasonal high of 6.4°C. Haven't had any notable sunshine since early last week.

Well with every passing day our winter prospects look worse and worse.. Utter tosh and no light at the end of the tunnel.

Only place I am going to see snow is by watching game of thrones! :wallbash:

Lol, if only there was a lot of volcanic ash floating around, coupled with a mega dose of sulphur thrown very, very high and we'd all be in business.

I have to say though, you are missing a trick.....surely with such a massive Christmas display at work, there's got to be scope for a snow machine to be included too.

Yes, I meant there. Needs a snow machine.

As getting a white Christmas seems so elusive, more often than not we end up with mild muck followed in the new year by a colder spell, I propose a possible solution...It's simple, we all switch back to the old Julian calendar and celebrate Christmas in tune with Eastern Orthodox Christians. Their Christmas day is 7th January, round about the time (on average) the mild muck clears off and it gets colder.

Sounds like a plan - I'm in!

Really hope we get a cold spell soon. Even Novembers cold spell seems a distant memory now!
