I've just noticed S4lancia is back in the MOD thread, we do have a good presence over there don't we, with Karlos1983, Iceberg & S4lancia, plus of course we have Singularity from the eastern borders, and then on to Grimers and lest we can't forget from the western extreme oh Knockers...

Hope you're enjoying your day, it's really rather (surprisingly) pleasant around here with some hazy sunshine and currently 10.1c although down in Longleat it's probably several degrees cooler. The incoming rainband doesn't seem too bad for later either when compared to forecasts.

Cheers Andy

just got back, knackered! A great day had by all, absolutely fantastic how they have set it up for Christmas at longleat.

The rain held off until not long before we left and it wasn't pouring, just annoying more than anything. Got into some heavier rain on the way home though!

We've had virtually no rain at all today, certainly nothing from this evening's offering.  As you say, Mapantz, it's developed out of nothing and did it to the SE of here!

I'm wondering if there were errors in the data being returned?

Not a lot of rain here today, a bit of drizzle late afternoon and that's about it.

Had a bit of an harrumph moment earlier....brand spanking new fairy lights....not from a bargain basement store, reputable brand and all that, outside waterproof ones....put them up on one of the trees in the garden, dead as a dodo less than 4 hours later. Not happy.

I think a fog warning should have been issued by the looks of it?! As soon as that rain cleared, the stars were out and the temp rapidly dropped. There's major fog now!

Frost has returned, maybe it is winter, 0.9c and clear.

Wow, 2nd day of astronomical winter and already we have reported frosts. Seems like it could be a front end loaded (astronomical) winter this year then:oops:

Braved the supermarket late night, surprised to see the gritters out, thought they were bonkers as it was about 7c at the time - they were right, we did get a frost.

Just emptied the gauge and found 0.9mm, so guess the radar was correct, for here, anyway.  Current temperature is 2.1°C having gone down to 1.5°C overnight, quite a surprise that was!

It's a beautiful morning here, the odd wisp of cloud in an otherwise clear blue sky, lovely and sunny :D

Rain last night, then fog, then a ground frost - had it all. Nice and sunny at the moment though, but damp, again, after a low of 0.8°C

Temp: 8.6°C - Hum: 99% - Dew: 8.5°C - Bar: 1028.45hPa - Wind: WSW @ 2mph.

I have just been looking back at my stats for December, and so far, it has been the dampest December I have recorded in 6 years - an average of 93.93%
Drying washing has been a nightmare, so I expect the electricity usage has been greater due to the tumble dryer being used more often than normal.

That's today's strange stat-of-the-day! bye2.gif
