A fine nearly 12 year unblemished career on here ended with a rap on the knuckles for attempt at humour in the Mod thread, not gloating, but it had got so doomladen, anyway no warning points ,ban or firing squad,so I now start again lol

One has to ask, 12 years and 211 posts, that's less than 2 a month. Did you save all that humour up for a bad spell in the weather? :whistling:

LOL HELL NO,all my hilarious stuff goes on Facebook, this is a serious forum where humour only occasionally sneaks under the wire,if you did jokes every bad spell of weather I would have been P45d years ago,in truth,i enjoy and use the site every day,but don't have the knowledge to post in our revered Mod thread.

Rain this afternoon here, heavy at times. Temp at 4c. Wind 7mph S.

Whats the weather like down in the far SW?, I'm off to watch Oxford City away at Truro City tomorrow.

Are Truro playing their home games at Plymouth this season?

I have bad memories of visiting their original Treyew Road ground a week after they had won the FA Vase in their Western League days. We thought they might ease off having won the league/Vase double but we got annihilated 8-0!

Interesting reading in the local newspaper tonight - oh how I wish we could see something like this just once... :sorry:

I see the ECM has created euphoria once again!

Yeah, to be honest I've been on this & TWO board for so many years, I recognise the posters that have their simple wants in their posting language, and those that really have no axe to grind or are prepared to consider the wide world of options. I like this place, and glad this thread has nurtured a great group of people, who have no axe to grind. So who's up for deep snow & cold winds the end of next week:oops:

Well said. Mind you this board in winter is never complete until Jay from Cardiff pops up!

I'm praying to see a fall of snow on ski holiday though! Its amazing to see it all on ground but i'd sacrifice a day or two skiing to see a blizzard over there! :D

If I'm honest fromey I have thrown the towel in. I don't have the energy anymore. I can't even be bothered to post! :lazy:

What will be will be, if we get some cold then it's a bonus. I have total admiration for those still sticking it out!! Even if they are a little crazy!

It has turned a bit wretched out there - heavy-ish drizzle. It looks like a few heavier bursts may be on their way?!

Love it. Especially love Priddy in the snow, everyone who can get there, gets there for just one thing, big time playing, then drinks in the Queen Vic. Trusty Landy has never failed to get me there but there's been a couple of really dodgy trips down Cheddar Gorge in the snow.....

When I was in the 6th form we used to drive up there when it snowed and we had a free period... as it would always be raining in wells.. great times!

I was lucky enough to grow up in the Cotswolds, went to school in Chipping Norton - the highest town in Oxfordshire and a real snow magnet. Heaven :)
