Lucky you! Hope we get to those levels! We had pitiful amounts with just a slushy mess despite snow all day.

Absolutely hammering it down now. Think commute in morning will be fun.

The band has hit Lincoln but the temperature has held steady at 2.3C and it's turned mainly to rain, so there appears to be slightly warmer air associated with the heavier stuff coming up from the south (I half-expected that this might be the case).  It could well turn to snow as it heads northwards though and collides with the colder air which is forecast to start edging southwards again towards midnight.

Heaviest it’s been for sometime currently, the wind has helped.

Snow and wind has picked up here and for the first time today the road is now gone. The grit has lost.

Out of interest, how was LBA doing.

Radar still shows the really good stuff down by Sheffield so it should only get better.

Despite my earlier scepticism and considering it is soaking out there, the rain has turned to snow and we have a thin layer of slush on the roads and paths, even my car has a slight white covering, long night ahead and fingers crossed!

Still nothing heavy here in South Leeds, just a constant light snow that is being helped by the wind. Depths of 6cm here however I've heard down the hill in Leeds City Centre, nothing is settling yet.

It's so far north in nearly out of it.

Temp up to 0.4c now and dew up to 0.3c 🥺

Looking on Google maps round Huddersfield shows a lot of orange/red roads indicating slow, stuck traffic especially on inclines near Lepton/Grange Moor.

A lot of the grit will have been washed away earlier so roads will be treacherous.

Back to snowing like earlier…the intensity it there but very small flakes, teetering on sleet but still snow.

Still 1.5° down here 😞 typical, we get the coldest frosts, but rain today! The snow which settled yesterday evening melted this morning.

Very disappointing here absolutely naff all baring little covering on grass and slush on paths pavement. Looks like my fears last night are coming to fruition! Altitude probably gunna end up 30m too low for a decent cover by morning.

Ya never know if you hit a good blob later when temps bit colder and system pulls away but doubt it.

It’s just way to marginal especially with how light the precipitation is 😤

Unless the snow flake size increases and keeps the same intensity, I can't imagine the snow depth to increase tonight.
