Much milder than the met suggested a low of -2.9C now -0.8C. The cloud no doubt the reason why.

Got down to -4.5 overnight here so pretty decent.

Wonder if we'll see any front edge snow later. Weather front looks a bit pathetic at the moment so think we'll need it to pep up a bit

Garden equipment recorded -3.5c overnight…..nearest official station only recorded -2.7c 🤷🏼‍♀️. Still cold! After the frost the sun is shining & most lingering snow (& frost) is now gone from the garden. 6c now & a lovely day on the wolds 🌞

Snow depth had dropped to 27cm. Black ice stopped some cars getting up the road early on this morning. Pavements sheet ice where the snow has been compressed by people walking on it or from run off. So dangerous underfoot and will get worse as water gets on top of the ice.

The Snow has a layer of ice on top making walking tiring while my Car has the snow frozen top and bottom so gave up clearing it.

Had a look at the soil pipe this morning the weight of the snow from the roof had pulled the wall plugs out. The plumber drilled into the cement rather than the brick to fixed the bracket. I've bodged it for now as I don't like ladders plus my tools are in the shed which has a lot of deep snow in front of it. The carpal tunnel is also playing up so doubt I could drill anyway. The bodge should mean the coming winds don't break the darn thing.  It needs two brackets rather than the one as well.

Hopefully snow coming off roofs doesn’t cause too many issues. This snow is the worst for that.

I went for a right burden this morning on the ice 😱

Hurt my back, leg hip and elbow  😞

Ouch. Hope you're okay. This is the main reason why I haven't ventured far this morning. Waiting hours for an ambulace in the cold if you need one is too risky

Impressive cold for Mid March on my weather station network this morning. Nice recipe of deep snow, clear skies and light winds perfect conditions for low minima.

Over 6c here now and the front not too far away. I don't think it'll be snowing here today but we'll see...

Radar thinks it's doing something here but it's dry 4.4C and dew point of -0.4C.

Still dry here, 5.2c so if it does get here its unlikely to fall as snow

*Just checked the dew point, -2c, maybe it will snow?*
