Just been out to the log store for a top up and we have a light covering of crunchy graupel.

Dying as it hits the high ground classic rain shadow effect.

You haven't had anything tonight? I'm down the road from you and had a dusting...

Few flakes earlier but it hasn't really done anything.

Nothing to shout about but there's a thin covering here.

Stuff now approaching Hendon Bridge is much further north than previous showers. This should bring us into the game.

Had a covering here from the showers that have passed through. One appeared to stay to the south of me on radar but looked out and it was snowing - think the southerly wind direction tonight helped it make the last mile or so! Lamp post watching beat radar tonight 🤪

Do we think I’ll cross or will that be it ?

It’s modelled to get across. A lot of rain events do this don’t they - ie appear to stall at the Pennines then eventually the whole lot gets across, although usually weaker here than over in the west.

Looking at the radar seams to decay just north east of Macclesfield. Hope the main band following it has enough umph to push it through to us. Not sure but we will know in next hour or two

I have a feeling it'll be a flop for West Yorkshire. South Yorkshire looks better placed.

I mean yeah it looks good, the caveat is that it looks good west of the pennines.

Can it make it over? Or will it reform east of Leeds.

Yeah falling moderately here. Sheffield looks like the sweet spot seems to be breaking up over south Leeds.
