cheshire snow

Well the UKMO has the low quite a bit further north, honestly the snow risk is really secondary and low risk for our region, its the rain we need to watch out for. Might not rain all the time but it will likely to be heavy and persistent.

I think it's fair to say the Atlantic is back and the SSW will not deliver anything too cold for the UK.

I agree the rain is the one to watch at the moment. Things will change regarding snow potential later Wednesday into Thursday, but the rain is now set in

The SSW/Atlantic bit is premature though, given the models general 'lack of a clue' in FI. I do know some like to peddle the Atlantic/zonal train though

The way I see it is like this:

If you’re on high ground above 150 m get excited now because you’re going to get battered.
If you live below this but East of M6 get excited now because you’re going to get slightly battered Thursday – Friday then heavily battered.

West of M6 could get battered Wednesday night then it’s boring until Friday night then could get slightly battered.

if you live in the south, go and throw toys in the mad thread.

Let's hope for no more corrections south.

Is this what we're going to get from Chris Fawkes or Ben Rich this evening? Or (more likely) Owain Wyn Evans on the NW News? I thought it was only Tomasz Shafernaker who could give us a forecast like this! Love it!

Weird thick low black wall of cloud approaching from SSW.   Fells lost in cloud.

Max today 6.0C .  Now 5.7C.  Pressure falling.

This afternoon chain of geese flew over going west.  White stoat very busy catching mice.   Maybe they know something.

I saw a robin and two wag tails does that count

I’m guessing you being the rain lady just go outside and do an anti rain dance

I worked that out yesterday at 960mm
