Found some elevation and went for a snowy dog walk. Even above 300 metres it’s just rain falling

Sunday looking a tad windy, anyone keeping an eye on that and if it is likely?

Haven't had time to look at the charts today, but last night ECM didn't even show it! Will know more by Thursday regarding track and strength etc. Deffo one worth watching!

A dusting here in Louth this morning. Gone now, probably about as best as can be expected. Yes, this storm wasn't on the ECM 00 run, but one is on both the GFS and ECM for around the 24th. 12z coming out now on GFS to see if it's still a thing or moves like 06z to the north and over Scotland.

At 12pm I had a fantastic covering of snow about 4cm deep, at 4pm, all gone.

What a disappointment.

If there was no mild sector would of been looking close to 1ft of snow😡

If there was no mild sector, there wouldn't have been any precipitation at all though, it was caused by a warm front.

Another 2 degrees lower in the 850's though around -4/-5, I reckon it would have stayed as snow for Central and Eastern areas.

Lampost watching for another couple of days though and some feisty Atlantic weather off the back of the renewed PV in Canada stirring some super storms up.

Showers starting to turn to snow again on the radar. Was a real shame to see everything melting this morning. Would have had a serious amount of snow if it hadn't of been for the mild sector.

A good 4 inches here today, thaw commenced and the place a slushy mess this evening. Showers turning to sleet / snow based on radar, tomorrow am will be interesting with temps already dipping.

Another note to add for Thursday with the strikes occurring, along with the current forecast conditions it could be a day for working from home

Met  a convoy of 6 gritters leaving the Omagh depot around 6.40pm, just had another rain shower there now, roads will be like a bottle tomorrow morning so take it handy folks.

Just back in from shop and can confirm the roads around here are already like a bottle.

Frozen snow and black ice will definitely be an issue

Got a dusting of snow on the ground here this morning! Settling much more readily than it did yesterday 😀

The next 48 hours are the coldest of this spell, so any snow should hang around.

Not sure there will be enough for sledging though.

All the showers keep passing us and we just get the very edges. Better than nothing and it’s still white and cold. Roads are seriously slippy too.
