Nice day today, might be a while before I'm saying that again.

Anyone saying we need the rain, might not be saying that after the next two weeks. Looks very wet for down here. Suspect the white stuff will be preserved for more Northern parts into next weekend,  hopefully we will see the effects of the SSW into February or March.

But for now, rain rain rain.

Good morning, lovely sunny morning currently 7.5C after a low of 3.8C at around 9 am,a light wnw breeze and 73 % RH.

Can we squeeze any of the white stuff out of the sky later this week.....I just can't see it here...would love to be wrong tho, several weeks of winter left.....but we'll see.....☃️

When the white stuff falls in the area (southof the M4 and low on height) it will have transformed to a liquid like structure, globular in nature......dictionary definition: water that is condensed from the aqueous vapor in the atmosphere and falls to earth in drops more than 0.02 inch (0.5 millimetres) in diameter.

As you say rain, rain, rain and likely to cause problems in the known areas prone to flooding, it will of course bring with it double digits temperatures, so a respite on heating bills, for the foreseeable..as for the SSW, nobody has a scooby doo, quite what it will do, it could certainly bring elevated temperatures across the UK..

Aha..although the potential exists later in the week for north and east of the area to see some edge conditions, meaning this has been issued for the coming week..

Morning All, a clear and sunny start with a light frost this morning, after an overnight low of 0.4°C at: 06:50, currently 2.4°C, with clouds on the horizon out over the channel. Making the most of the day as the week looks a tad soggy and wet..

Looks like a bit of a yawn fest this week, perhaps better by the weekend. We seem to have returned to October/November garbage.
