Mostly cloudy with the odd sunny spell, milder but also windier meaning it still feels quite cold although not as cold as the last few days. 8.6°C

It comes as no great surprise, that when it turns milder the rain follows. Would have been nice if it could have stayed dry.

It has been particularly dry this month so far though don't you think?

I've only measured 2.2mm which is very dry for January, I think the average is around 85mm, still early yet though it could all change if the westerlies kick in....

It hasn’t felt too chilly today, a little mild actually. Mostly cloudy with a few bright spells, and quite breezy...

If we had some snow maybe it wouldn't have been so dry.  I'm more than happy for it to have stayed dry, but we live in the UK so that's never going to happen.

We were woken by wind several times, the windiest night since Boxing Day into the 27th December.

Morning All, a wet start yet mild start to the day, looks as though it's heading towards double digits as it's already 9.7°C after an overnight low of 8.8°C at: 01:39.. a couple of stronger gusts overnight (noticed the lid open on the neighbours recycle bin) not a huge amount of rain though currently 1.8mm and raining again at the moment..(Looks like it might double this months rainfall figure yet!)

Wind picked up around 2am to 4am, WSW 14mph, with plenty of 20-26mph gusts.
WSW has dropped now to 4-6mph.
Started to rain at 6am here, 3.2mm so far.

Now, 9.3c, 1012.7 hPa, light rain showers.

What an arduous month this turning out to be. A distinct lack of sunshine more than anything. We have swapped cloudy and cold for cloudy and mild. I also didn’t expect last nights wind from such a weak Atlantic...

The fields have gone back to stodgy very quickly, which isn't nice.

Quite a bit of surface water already. The streams running of Cranborne Chase haven't stopped throughout the recent drier weather.

Didn’t make double figures today, so still haven’t recorded a double figure day since 23rd December! 9.5°C at: 12:41 is the high... cloudy all day with light rain or drizzle at times.
