Feels pleasant out there, nothing like the intense feeling of the sun you get in June and July. That lower sun angle In late August makes all the difference.

Today has been just about perfect summer conditions  - low 20s, sunshine and light breeze.

At last August is finally delivering some decent weather! Waited long enough.. rest of the month promises dry fine settled conditions. Anticyclonic set up. High teens and low 20s temps. Some good sunny spells at times.

Great outdoor weather. Anyone camping or spending holiday in Lake District has struck gold this week!

Just had a look at netweather top twenty for today, top three for NW region, Keswick 23.4°C,  Crosby 23°C,  Man airport 22°C.

It's been a strange summer in that NW areas have often been warmer and/or drier than SE areas. I have seen the synoptic pattern for this summer, high pressure over the north of the UK but low pressure around the bay of biscay, which explains why it has been one of the few summer where it  has been drier in Scotland than in England.

Temperatures could reach 25/26C in the Republic of Ireland this week, while East Anglia will struggle to get out of the teens with the flow coming off the north sea.

Reached a pleasant 20.5C here in East Lancs, and as someone mentioned above, the sun didn't feel too intense. We are now two whole months past the equinox, the sun is now only as strong as it was on 19th April. Hard to believe that as it feels so much warmer now than it did then.

Yes we hit 22 degrees today. Highest max so far this month! Shorts back on!

A lovely sunny day yesterday and more to come. The later sunrises are becoming more noticeable now as autumn rapidly approaches. At least now if I wake up as it is just starting to get light, I know it's not sodding 3:30 in the morning!

Yesterday afternoon was nice got up to 22c here that felt v warm after the last few weeks - but more cloud ☁️ amounts than forecast for this week will dilute at times what could have been a more sunny, summery feeling week. This morning is really gloomy and miserable a bit October like.

After quietly cursing this mornings forecast of cloudy skies and maybe some drizzle, the afternoon has been mainly warm and sunny.

Reached a decent 22c.

Another very good day here. Away from the cloud cover, though hazy skies rather than wall to wall sunshine. Some cloud at times. Temp close to 22 degrees again.

Can't complain!

A lot of cloud here today and only started to brake up a bit after 5pm. Shame really as it looked like we was on the periphery of it - just a few miles further north was basking in sun most of the day.

Yeah we’re only about 10 miles north of you and it’s been pretty much sunny since early afternoon.

Somewhere over Rochdale there must have been a dividing line.

Odd to see Met Office going for highest max at 6pm a jump from 21 degree at 5pm to 23 degrees at 6pm. As we are later in the summer season I would now expect highest max of the day to occur earlier around 3 or 4pm at the latest..

After a sunless day yesterday, the sun is trying to break through the clouds at the moment.  Scotland dominated yesterday's netweather top 20 for max temps.

The sun finally broke through here a couple of hours ago after an overcast morning, so it has turned into a fine late summer afternoon here.
