Certain clouds you dont want to see. Id rather have clear blue or sunshine and showers.

The wind tonight is as strong as it was the two previous storms.. getting 60mph gusts right now.. not sure where that came from!

Heavy rain showers though as well.

Wet sleety crap when we walked out of Burnley Mechanics but it quickly turned to a couple of inches of snow at Deerplay Moor on the way back to Bacup.

A decent covering at home but we’re home now though thanks to a car that just loves being out in the snow.

Very irrelevant.

I study world affairs for market reasons as I'm a trader. I hope I'm wrong here but ever since Russia annexed Crimea I knew this could potentially happen.

Like I say I hope I'm wrong but this could be the beginning of a far bigger a plan, I'm waiting for Xin Ping to show his hand over the next week's/months. Taiwan must be looking on nervously, NATO & America to be pulled in 2 directions at once?

Putin was a guest of Pings during the Olympics, the attack started once it was over, coincidence? I think not.

Putin will not stop at Ukraine & I just don't see China sitting on their hands with the power they now have.

World War 3 is the closest it's ever been.

I could go into far greater detail with my theory but this is a weather forum and I haven't the time.

China is biding their time like they've done for the past 40 years. They will take Taiwan eventually but for now they are seeing what Russia gets away with and the response they get. They've played the long game, patiently and steadily built up their economy from the late 70s/80s whilst staying out of the more recent wars and barely speaking out about American interventions. And made the world rather reliant on their goods. Now they are a powerful force economically and militarily. The Chinese aren't stupid.

Looking wintry for the second time in 5 days. Makes up a little for the very disappointing lack of proper winter weather the past 3 months.

It's been a weird winter snow wise. It has reaffirmed my belief that imby a Northerly or NEly is actually the best for non-marginal snow. Unfortunately they are rare and usually dry but November provided this year and that's about it. Easterlies are too dry and anything from the west or NW can* provide but has to run the gauntlet of marginal stuff.

Just looked out and there's a light slushy covering of snow on our car windscreens but other than that it's a fail nothing elsewhere outside hoping we can get something in March if not then it'll probably be next November onwards. Can't see us having another freezing April like last year.
