No snow here at sea level but icy, lots of kids falling over on way to school today.

Could contain: Plot, Chart, Map, Atlas, Diagram

Funny you say that, my daughter phoned from the school earlier. She was sitting in her car watching kids come off the buses and immediately falling.

Just a mess here this morning. A slight frozen dusting as was expected.

Slight lull... but the radar looks like some really intense snaw on its way into perth soon...❄❄

Places just south of Perth must be getting hammered right now and plenty more out west heading in..

After a lull Almost looks like a 2nd recharged band of precip heading east

Yep! I’m about 6 miles SE of Perth near sea level and been getting hammered since 5am with rounds of ridiculously heavy snow. Final total measured is 11cm or so.

I can see the Ochills from my windows. Hard to believe the difference out that direction at a similar altitude! Cracking photos 🌨️

Well I've taken the kids out for some family time and some fun running through the snaw and snaw ball fights and screams of delight.. for me this is what snaw is all about.. kids and dad having fun and the pure joy it brings.. memories for ever..

Big gap on the radar... but some really heavy stuff out west looks like it could give us another spell of heavy precipitation... will it be snaw??

This weather reminds me of that song from Frozen.

The snow has turned to rain but it is not melting the snow very much

So what are the models saying about the weather over the next week?

Last night I heard it was pretty much a full house from the computer models that the weather next week would be mild - is this still the case this morning?

Some really heavy returns on the radar heading my way.. no sign of any dripping or melting so will assume it will be snaw..❄❄

Quick glance says 2 days of warmer then cool to cold again afterwards. Model thread will generally say warm but that's  the famed Southern bias. ECM looking cold for us and a very interesting Christmas day!
