A new 2022 high for me today. Not quite as high as some people's here, but I'll take 17.4 °C with hours and hours of sunshine! Took a little while to get going, the March sun isn't quite strong enough to burn through the cloud quickly, but once it was out it stayed out. Easily warm enough to sit outside with a book at lunchtime. Hard to grumble! As mentioned above though, not sure I'd want this setup at the height of summer with 30 °C plus likely. Much better in spring I think. All for sunny warmth in summer, but unless there's some actual record-breaking on the cards I prefer somewhere in the mid-20s as a rule.

An interesting week ahead

There could be some SPRING Snow around this week, defo for the high ground, but with the air coming in Wednesday/Thursday being so cold us at lower levels could certainly be in that mix

This time of the year, I believe it’s all about timing though, early morning snowfall as more of a chance, if its later in the day it very rarely happens (slushy mix) and certainly doesn’t settle.

My eyes are all over the forecast atm and the Models fur sure, Spring it on

Has been the most gorgeous past few days here in W. Malvern, even if still nippy at night. Hard to believe there might be snow in a few days' time!

Keep your tender plants protected, folks!

Hi all,

The hi res models will be within the realms come tomorrow morning

Will we be seeing snowfall and more importantly where

These hi res models are never 100% but they do give us a better idea

I was supposed to see 11c to 12 c here today, but I haven’t got above 8c

Currently 16:10....I’m at 7.8c with thick cloud cover

Amazing how a little sunshine can make all the difference, Wales at 15c

Light snow here too, looks like no chance of sticking though.

Still just cold rain here, please not another rain in Shropshire/snow everywhere else event. Dont expect a huge dumping, would be happy with 1-2cm in the morning as it would wipe the floor with anything this winter- just no more rain here/snow everywhere else  nonsense please.

I doubt anything will settle away from the highest ground. Warm surface temperatures and precipitation rate too low to overcome that.

I'm clinging on to the memory of April 4th 2012, when we got a quite unexpected cover of snow a week after it had reached 20C and following a winter full of the Shropshire effect (4th Feb was unbelievable, rain below freezing)

And stood outside typing there are sleety bits appearing in it....

Well, there you go.... More disappointment.

I swear to god if we ever a have a nuclear winter, the Midlands would be the best place to be as we Never get snow

A spell of snow earlier this evening, which was just beginning to whiten the ground when it stopped falling. Dry and cloudy since then with a current temp' of -0.1c.
